So i've made mentions of this in my 140j thread and put a few pics up but don't thing i've ever made its own,
pretty much its a 1982 180sx, s110. NZ new so it has wind up windows and non power steering etc over the imports.
Plan was to buy it, get it going and use it everyday, but when i turned up at the geoffs depot in dunedin to pick it up it was abit different than what i was expecting. Even found it to have an old 180b 4 speed
Long story short a couple of months later it was tidy ish, running and getting it ready for its first WOF, only to find out it had a blown head gasket and on closer inspection the head was buckled. So I temporarily chucked in a spare l18 i had with twin SU's, chucked some 280z mags on it and rolled matt black for 3000ish km.
meanwhile we re-build the l18e, having the head planned straight again while adding a lightened flywheel, kelford cam and extractors to a full 2 1/4"exhaust, which made driving it everyday alot more enjoyable, also bought some cheep 15x7's for it as shown.
extra repairs include:
-re-kitting 3 brake calipers
-having the spedo re-built as it stopped
-straighteneing the front bumper out after some dumb bitch decided to back her courier into it and do a runner (i chased her down)
-cleaning the carpets as the old owner decided to paint the white carpets black when they painted the outside black.
-un-seizing hand brake cables
-welding the clutch pedel back in place as a result of some dodgey past repairs
- straightening the bonnet out because someone decided to never oil the bonnet hinges
-etc etc
Just before xmas she finally got a full pannel and paint back to the orginal colour
Have clocked up about 8000km since putting the re-built engine in and about 11000km since purchasing and its running mint.
