I saw kitch's old 120Y cruising down Johns road today. Four lads in it. Looked sweet. I feel the 120Y is a car that started out pretty ugly, but with the passage of time (and the shapelessness of modern cars has devolved) has turned into a beautiful swan.

I disagree they started out ugly and are still......... well ugly! But everything gets prettier the lower and wider it gets to the ground. Plus as bart said if everyone did the same things it would be very boring. Always going to be somebody that doesnt like the cars your playing with so just ignore all the bullshit people spout and enjoy your car

Man - everyone rains on 120Y's - always the 210 shape, ive always loved the shape of my sedan (wish it was a 2door sedan thou) and I've had heaps of flack over the years for mine, common raining (shit kickers comments) includes....

Must be original guy 1 - "That colour is shit cause its not a factory colour"
Must be original guy 2 - "That Engines not factory and it need side draughts"
Put a rotor in it guy - " Bro that got a rotor in it?", "Na", "Put a rotor in it G"
JDM Wheels Guy - "Those wheels suck - get some (insert JDM Wheel name here)
NZ Bogan Guy - "Needs more low (to an undrivable state) and epic camber"
KE70 Guy 1 - "Bro that needs a 4k with ramflow filter and Gilmer Drive" (to suck the only power those k series make)
KE70 Guy 2 - "Man that needs some modgies to be real sick"

I just take it on the chin - remember those sorts of comments come back to bite yo in the end.
The good outweigh the bad comments - especially when old timers that have a decent chat about when they used to own one.

- as nick says though you can lower anything and throw some wheels at it and it will improve it heaps - hell ive even seen some cool looking ladas that used to be on the oldschool website etc - still ugly but hey.

Everyone has there own taste - just stick with what you want to do for yourself - the 120Y coupes have their own uniqueness (id own one one day) - its your car at the end of the day.

I always thought they were ugly prob the last Datsun id want. they are still ugly but they are a cool ugly. It's like all the American cars getting imported their are some ugly ones but they are cool because of it if that makes sense
