Yes getting my arse into gear I was a bit GUTTED i missed the last garage day so had to pull finger just getting the motor ready to send away just need to skim the flywheel polish the rods and crank so i can get it balanced .
If i get time I'll smooth the insides of the block and pant it with the high temp primer our small sandblaster at work is shit so I will buy one soon having the Datsun and Chrysler to do it should pay for itself quickly .
Going to pull the J out off it's hole today and have a clean up so i can move round it to start on the rust have that old shell to cut bits out of .

what paint exactly are you going to use to paint the indise of the block? I've researched it, and the US hot rod guys use a paint called Glyptol. It's an everything proof paint that is used to paint the inside of electric motors. I planning to try track some down to do one or more of my future engines, but haven't yet tried to source any.

plasti-kote high temp primer the guy at super cheap on colombo recommended this rather than the vht told him i was soft in the head and was going to polish the inside of my block and paint it I'll give it a wipe with toluene in a day or so if it stays on with that it will be sweet i hope

Has the guy at supercheap ever actually used that primer for that purpose, its not the sort of thing that you want to peel off. The only product i've heard of people using is glyptol. I'm sure there is others that can be used though.
