removing clutch cable question

how do i remove the cable from the fork in the box? it has a clevis on it but cant figure out how to get it over/off the fork. I thought you would just loosen the cable off then the clevis should come away from the fork thing but it just doesn't want to come off!? any ideas

That's pretty much how it's done.
Sometimes removing it from the hook under the dash can improve free length and make it easier to unhook from the fork. Or maybe slip a bit of wire over the fork, and pull it forward to gain a little more rear clearance to unhook it.
