i have installed the 60mm shortened monroe shock inserts and had bellamy and east shorten and reshape my springs..... but its still too high for my chosen tyre/rim combo. back looks great etc but front i want another 40mm lower.

i wanted everything to be able to go back to factory if need be when i started this project, but since now i have another 2 spare sets of disc brake struts im open to creativity.

im gonna be running ssr mk3s 13x6.5 +10 with 165/65r13 tyres, and i want the front to match the back in terms of top of tyre to bottom of guard.

help is appreciated

Someone chime in here with whether this is correct or not, but I don't think you're going to be riding level with the wheel/tyre spaced out the same in the front and rear, as the guard lip is higher in the front? To achieve this you will need to have a bigger wheel in the rear or taller tyre.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

brassy dont be so negative! ;) . iv seen some outrageously low 1200s around, i just want as low to match rear, not opposed to raising rear up slightly but front still needs to drop more

Top of tyre clearance versus level ride height are two different things. Low and level clearance, no problem. The same top of tyre clearance both front and back, I don't think so. Await confirmation :)

Actually, my camber adjustment top hats kinda do that by putting the nut position higher than the level of the tower...

Luke I think Brassy is on to it. So measure the ground clearance at the front and rear of the sill, near each wheel, yes sorry that will mean getting down on your hands and knees, (I know you're up for it). this is the measurement that needs to be the same. On Sedan wheel arch clearance is greater front to rear.

Luke you need to change spring length or lower the spring perch height (on the strut) to lower car. Shifting strut top won't do it, raising spring seat or tower top would, but not moving the shock mount only. Looks like your guess was a little out, but on the good side. You can cut more off, you can't cut more on.

Luke if you can get this right? Then I can just copy your set up? Lol.
