Hello everyone.

This is a to borrow thing.

Due to going down a different path in terms of powerplant and not having the room in my tiny garage i want someone to borrow my engine ;)

Ideal for someone thinking of a repower and a test the waters sorta thing, or just some fun till i want it back.

Last running september 2011, pulled it out to fix flywheel, and then rust repairs etc kicked in and its sat ever since.

At LEAST 4-5 months worth of A15 fun

Race/lumpy cam of some sort - think kelford did the grind
Twin sidedraught dellorto 40s
Double valve springs
Slight polish and port
Lightened a12 flywheel

Might even put out 80rwhp (optimistic....)

Little bit sluggish till just under 3000rpm from memory. absolutely sings above that.

......MIGHT need an oil change and tune, but definitley ran regardless before the resto.

let me know asap as i need it gone this week :)

Just fit it to your ute man.
I reckon we could swap it in the same time it'd take you to drink a bottle of mckenna.

I agree, definitely get it fitted in the ute! Luke, what new power plant options are you considering?

the gearbox is already out, so it would only take an hour to have it in and running, can you drink a bottle of McKenna in an hour?

the reason its not going straight in as i want to have a vehicle i can use, i cant ride atm so have no form of transport, and if its only a bottle of mckennas time to swap one engine over thats easily arranged....... kitch has informed me his engines etc will be gone next week so i will have the space for it now :) .

i plan to do full factory paint spec on it etc and a thorough checkover/rebuild if nessesary before i put it in the ute as i dont want it coming out again for a long while.

mods can delete this thread now
