Hi guys

Am going to upgrade the standard carb on my a15 to get a bit more power :burnout:

Would like some advice on which carbs would be good? Price estimates, power output, fuel usage, where to get etc

Sorry i do not know too much about them hence why i am asking 8-)

Thankyou

An easy upgrade for a standard/mildly worked engine in the weber 32/36 from a 2lt cortina.
There's a bit of shagging about rejetting it, but they offer improvement over the standard carb.
(I'm pretty sure Kitch even has a spare adapter to fit one to an A series)

Twin sidedrafts are the best option for a mild-wild engine. But you'll be spending at least $500 to buy carbs, and get them running. Probably much more in truth.

Kitch also knows about ITBs, saw his set up again at the weekend, very sexy.
Weber / Dellorto / Mikuni are best bang for bucks and best sound, but you will pay for it at the pump and in getting and keeping them tuned, but Oh that sound :P
Another option which is a bit cheaper and offers a power increase along with economy at the pump is GX 'SU' carbs, they can be tricky to tune too but usually once right stay good and economical, but they ain't got the sound but :( SUs tend to start at $200, make sure you sort a choke cable also as they don't have an accelerator pump and don't like cold mornings. (Personal experience). SUs don't like huge cams either, so you can't extract the power you can from other side draughts.
