Can you still get these? If so, where is best source? Does anyone know if nissan still hold them? Need one for my 1600.
If not might need to track down a parts gearbox somewhere, anyone know of any?

What box Morgan?
Scott can get A series rings, so I'd start with him.
L series four speed rings will work in a 63 series Five speed. As will 1,2,3,4th gears themselves.
What tends to happen is the tapered cone where the synchro ring runs tends to wear too.
If your raiding a parts box, forth gear tends to have the least wear.

I've got a good 1600 4 speed. Make me an offer if you want, you'd need to sort freight though.

P510 four speed. 63 series I'm guessing? The tapered cone is part of the gear isn't it, so would mean replacing third gear as well. I was hoping that as the ring is brass and the gear is hardened steel that just the ring will be worn. Other option is a mint four speed if anyone ha one they want to get rid of?
Who is Scott?

Sweet, I'll keep that in mind thanks. Although freight to NI alone might be more than a new synchro ring (if they're available)

I'd just try find another box if it were me. Last one I got was 90,000 kms, and it was free. There is almost no market for these boxes second hand.
