Hi Guys
I know a guy with a Datsun 1200 coupe classic rally car that is looking to make a series of fibreglass panels and wondered if anyone would be interested in some for themselves?

He has moulds and will be making the following in fibreglass

Front Guards
Front lower spoiler/ full air dam
Boot lids for 1200 Coupe and sedan
Bonnets
Rear spoilers
Bumpers front and rear
and possibly Coupe door shells.

He can possibly make moulds for other parts Coupe or Sedan if there is any interest for them please let me know.

A guy here in CHCH has (or had?) molds for some too. His old man races a 1200 ute.
I came into possession of a pair of guards, and a bonnet once. (I foolishly onsold them) Both guards and the bonnet together weighed less than just a steel bonnet on it's own.
Nothing like adding more lightness!

Yeah I've got some Gaurds and bonnet off the guy in chch that does them. For a rally car I'd say the Gaurds are probably alright but your normal steel Gaurds have a peice that helps mount your headlights which they can't mould for the fibre glass ones (well mine didnt have them). So yeah without customizing something it's probably easier to stick with steel for street use...I'll be taking my fibre glass ones off and putting steel ones back on which is a shame . Unfortunately ditching my fibre glass bonnet to so if anyone's wants to look at them or wants some real cheap let me know

I would also been keen down the track when my wallet is fatter! What sort of money are we talking? Or can I rent the moulds and make some myself?

Sorry mate I don't think he would be keen to rent out the moulds and he is in Rotorua.

Garth cheers for the info on the guards, I will see if he can mould something into his ones or atleast inform anyone buying them that the headlight mounts may become an issue.

Nick has already claimed my guards and bonnet sorry.

If there is anyway he can mould anything into his ones I'll be keen to buy some of these. Nothing like a bit more lightness up front.

I would probably be keen on boot and front rear spoilers depending on what ones he has in mind.
