Are they any major differences in the S13 and S14 blocks? S14 de blocks are hard to come by over here.

I honestly dont know, I would have used a s13 block if I found one at the right price, try asking on silvia.co.nz etc:

Nope pretty sure the only difference is that the s14/15 blocks have an extra oil gallery up the front to feed the VTC Solenoid, you can see in glens pictures what i'm talking about, its the ones he blocked up the front of the block on the drivers side, all the other galleries etc are the same.

yep. bores not bad. head gasket blown on all 4 cyl! combustion chambers need some welding, everything else looks ok. you still planning on entering the rally?
did the road smooth out on saturday? when I drove the road in the morning I thought shit that's rough in places but on the way back after runs it seemed a bit better?
