Model: 1972 Datsun 510
Engine: L20B, single carburetor
Trans: 63a 5 speed dogleg gearbox (slips out of 3rd after coming back from gearbox specialist after getting stuck in 3rd)
Differential: R 160 diff
Paint: Black. is reasonable. has a crack in middle of passenger front door. And paint stripped on drivers side rear guard. Other then that has been rust treated properly and since then ive undersealed the bottom.
Rims: Lenso RS5s 17" it has spacers on rear and a single spacer for the front, otherside cracked so removed both
Stereo description: Sony Xplod Heady, Sub & Amp and 6x9 speakers
other: Halo semi seal beam lights. Gen momo steer wheel with quick release.
Last Wof and Reg was Dec 2013.
My reason for sale is I cant take adequate care of it, It is sitting in weather and I dont have any tools, garage etc to maintain. Has either an exhaust leak or the lifters need adjusting. I have another set of extractors pending to replace. It also needs a drivers side front hub as wheel nut stud broke, due to this i have put 15" rims off and removed the 20mm spacers
Background: I bought from a guy who said the last owner had passed away and his brother kept and was holding onto it. The person before me since recond the alternator. When i bought it was last regd in 2005. I rewired the headlights with new coils, semi seal halo lights and switches. I have replaced the old engine which was a L18 port polished head on a L20b block. The gearbox has gone to a specialist due to fault, apparently the gearbox is in good nick except it slips out of 3rd gear. It has shortened shocks and lower king springs in front and compressed spring in the rear.
It is a dream to drive and has haulage for a SOHC. The last warranty stage was pretty straight forward I had to fix headlight wiring problem and few bits.
