as the heading says i need a good shortnose 63A dogleg gearbox for an L series can anybody help

any reason why you can't use a stumpy turbo skyline gearbox? they'll be plenty stronger, and you could probably get one cheaper than a 63a.

was goin to try stay with in the period off the car i do have plan b in place alredy

is the box pictured one you have that is fisted, or just a pic you found somewhere? I could use another one of them too. My synchro's are getting a bit sad.

yeah photo is my box it had been rebuilt and was left sitting around and has got rust damage on teath

The one I have in bits has similar issues. I'm hoping that a transfusion of thinner oil might help my synchro's a bit. Which parts of your are past it? There is a chance some of my spares may be of some use to you? Although rust doesn't descriminate much.

tractor tranmission/hydraulic oil works mint bart and its cheap 2.

Thanks mate. I'm running really heavy full synth gear oil in mine. It's not really the right stuff, but I got it for the right price.
