Unfortunately I have to let this car go for sale.
It has been in dry storage in Hamilton for 3 years and now I have back and can not keep.
Thought i would list it on here rather than Trade Me first to see if any interest.
Details:
1982 Datsun Bluebird yellow sedan.
Was originally fitted with 1.6L engine from factory..i.e GL Model
Very Rare.. has different floor pan than the 2.0L to accommodate the straight rear axle.
Now has a 180b engine fitted being a 1800cc.
Before the engine was fitted in 2007 the block was stripped and bore was taken out to 30 thou
to accommodate the oversize pistons.
So new pistons ,rings and bearings and crankshaft ground with new bearings.
Flywheel was lightened
This was done by Engine re-conditioner in Hamilton.. Since then has done about 5000km in the years and has had two oil changes since.. engine uses No oil.
Fitting this engine back in required a few modifications to the sump and the oil filter.
It is still fitted with the 4 speed gearbox which is a bit of a burden when cruising.
The plain dash cluster has been removed and retro fitted a SSS cluster giving a rev counter and oil pressure gauge and voltmeter.
Vehicle electrics are original..the altenator was overhauled and a New radiator fitted.
The front seats were removed and a pair of P10 primera TE seats fitted for comfort.
Light window tints fitted
Has a set of Cheviot Moon rims with fairly good chrome these are RWD offset 114 14 x 7
Rego on hold.. Drives OK but needs some work for WOF.

The Bad Bits!
Well..the concerns...
For WOF last inspection 3 odd years ago required the following to be done from memory.

R/H front brake hose perished
Front brake balance uneven
Rear brake cylinder leaking R/H side and shoes worn
Two tyres were borderline.

It was painted back in 2008 with a 2 pac yellow chrome which was a bit of a learning experience!
Its OK but up close there are some bits that were applied wrong.
The minor dents were painted over as well
It will sand back and come up well if you so wish.

Rust..
It has bits here and there but mainly little panel edges and similar
What you would expect for age..but car has been garaged all of life.

The R/R door was replaced after a muppet backed into it and drove off.
It was replaced with a Fawn colored door so the color is that on the inside.

Interior is very tidy..original carpets rear seat and seatbelts all good.

Suspension is sitting on Lovell lowering springs and new gas shocks were fitted all round

Would make the ideal project... Looking for around $3000.
But open to offers to the right buyer.
Rego Been on Hold and As Is Where Is

Does not come with a battery.
