Last 5 speed I sold went for $350. That was a good while ago now though.
TBH, I would never never never pay a penny more than that.

I think prices will rise, these things are not as available as they were.
I needed an R180 a few years back, couldn't believe how hard it had become to find even an R160, a lot of cars have been scrapped and the parts are just not as available as they once were, demand will determine the price, and as people sit on parts the price will keep climbing.

Good question... people see trade me as the only market place, hence some people cant sell, inc cars that sit relisted for months (trade me is over priced stuff mostly). As someone else mentioned, anything around $350 is understandable, pending condition. $350 plus on a noisey box or one I need to remove to reco, I was quoted $650 plus just to recondition. Big money with no idea of condition is nuts... used parts guy was willing to sell me one for $250... unfortunately both turned out to be different boxes . Demand maybe getting higher, but these boxes are 30 years old, the speed way has moved on... i think the market is small for a series compared to the new drift scene. Another reason I don't want to spend heaps, I could buy a car for $1200 and probably sell other bits and end up with a free box.
