Hey guys

Anyone had or know of anyone that's had any experience with the performance chip in my link below?
Stage 2 suits my set up perfectly but I'm a little hesitant as it seems cheap and it's pre tuned. Thoughts?

I'd suggest spending a little bit more, and buying a Nistune for your car.
Then you can fit a wideband, and tune the engine yourself. A pre-burnt chip probably wont be bang on the money for your car. Best best is to do all your upgrades, then get a shop to retune your car. with a tune to suit your exact set up. Although you can self tune to a point with a nistune.
Datsunboy has some experience with them.
An of the shelf tune wont be one size fits all.

That's my thoughts also Bart but seen them and wondered if anyone's tried them.

My stock Ecu will do for now it's handled it fine so far.

They are pretty average, i make these boards too.

A Nismotronic is a better option than Nistune, a lot more modern and you can run Map sensor too.

I would not trust a off the shelf tune, and there are not a lot of companys that like chip tuning around these days, or they charge a small fortune.

Hi Nick the your cars coming along well ?
Ive run all types of ECUs on FJ20s CA18s SR20s Z18et id have a look on trade me and go for a Microtech or a Link even brand new there not really that much .
But you get 100% tunabillty with the nistune it still needs a air flow meter ive used these to and they do work well but you still how limits to work within my blue 510 is still running a standard ECU and it does all i need since its only NA but im sure theres more in it with Turbos tunabillty is the best bigger injectors are a must 550cc and up is a start .

Hey mate, yeah cars coming along well thanks, all painted and on track for Akaroa :burnout:

Thanks for the advice, I've run a link in my old skyline and if I was to go down the ecu/tuning track I'd definitely go with another one. I'm just going to keep it the same as when it was on the road last apart from a set of headers and maybe sometime down the track do some more mods and ecu. If I was to go for any more power I'd need a r200 conversion also.
