hi all im new here. iv gota 910 with a z20+et init. when i got the car it had the standard z18et with 190000ks fitted with a rb20 turbo and external wg. whoever put it on had no idea how to hook up the vacuum hoses and it was freeboosting. and hadnt had an oil change for over 20000ks. so i changed it for 15w40 and went for a drive. as soon as the car warmed up the oil pressure dropped to nothing. so i put a rebuilt z20 that i had init. has a rb25 turbo on it now. im wondering what oil i should use? does anyone here have experience with these engines?

Id say try some Castrol Edge 10W60. It states its for highly stressed engines and older technology...

maybe have a look on the net for an owners manual, should give you all the info you want.

iv try findn info on z18et all i can find was a half translated wiring diagram in japanese lol joys of owning a jdm car
akaroa cruise? maybe if i get off my ass n get the rust fixed and reg/wof
does a 910 count as a datsun? import 910s are all nissans

il check out that oil. was wondering about the viscosity. i think that the original z18 lost oil pressure coz the oil was too thin
spose it shouldnt be a problem on a rebuilt engine though

What Car and Year was the Z20 out of?
Ive Never heard of one, or is it bored out/stroked?

there was Z16,18,20,22 and 24's In various guises of carb and injection but only the Z18 was turbo'd
I think Z20's were in Navara's and the like

i dont know what it was out of originally but it was in a 4wd datsun ute before i bought it. wasnt standard in that either chassis tag said it should of had a z22. iv got another 1982 910 that has z20s in it from factory and had a 1980 910 coupe with a z20e that i wrecked. the efi models go pretty good with a decent exhaust

photos abit blurry. the speedo stops at 180
that was a standard z20e with a 2.25inch exhaust

Ahhhh now you say Navara, it all makes sence!

In that case, its recommended to use Castrol GTX Professional 15W40 in a standard engine..

sweet do you reckon the turbo will be all good with that?
