Electronic dizzy question

Hey guys. I have a feeling that i have fried the electrics in my dizzy as I'm not getting any spark and I've checked everything else that i can think of. It has one of those pertronix electronic conversions in it and i was just wondering if i should replace it with the same thing or if there's better ones out there that people have tried?
cheers

How much do you want to spend?
That's the real question. Pertronix is good for the price bracket.

150 would probably be my limit. I think i may have fried it when i wired my tacho up so im not overly keen to spend big bucks on one and then try wire my tacho up again and have the same thing happen. Unless there is a tacho expert out there that could help me with that problem aswell?

I think sunny79datto has issues with his pertonix when he played with his tacho. (Or vise versa?)

S203V
Points! they are very reliable, can't get fried and if they do give problems are easy to fix.
Sorry can't help on the electronics, but wonder why everyone feels they need to replace their points.

agree with classicdat, and out of interest why do people put electronic dizzys in?

Ended up replacing it with another pertronix ignitor. I stuck with electronic cos that's what it already had when i bought the engine

are people running these petronix kits ok tho?
I too am a fan of points, but am wanting to relocate my coil to the side of my block to tidy up my engine bay,
was hoping to use a transitor style coil and get rid of balist resistor etc
anyone see this as being a problem???
