A15 valves hitting pistons

We'll finally got my ass into gear and started to strip down my spear engine to rebuild for efi conversion. When I took the head off it looks as if the valves hit the pistons. I have no history on this motor but have had it running. Can anyone shed some light into this. The head is a H891 the block is A15 1992.

How much lift are you running?
How much meat has been shaved off the head?

The cam has been ground but I have no specs on it what so ever and I also can't find anything stamped onto it. The head does not appear to have been shaved at all but in saying that it may have been. The pistons look as if someone has ground them at bit I will try put a photo up. This is my first datsun motor I have done on the flip side I am a heavily diesel mechanic for my bread and butter.

When mocking up an engine, you can fit light as anything valve springs, and as the motor winds over push the valve down by hand and see how close the valves and pistons are.
