Just had a sad attempt at undercoating the ute. Would spray ok one minute then start spitting the next or not spray anything, played around with pressure and gun adjustments but didn't seem to help. Anyone out there able to point me in the right direction.

It is a cheap gun (gravity feed) so am guessing this may be the prolem

cheers

I filtered paint when I put it in gun and have tried thinning the paint, didn't seem to make much difference

Cheers Jabo

pretty sure Its just ordinary primer.

weird thing is I managed to spray the tail gate with not to many dramas.

Had another go tonight and it started out fine then just started blowing air up into the pot and nothing else

Spraystore in St Asaph St used to sell a cheap(ish) spray gun. The brand was Star. Not a gravity cup gun, but used to paint good (at least for primering) for a cheap gun.

Thanks Bart, ended up borrowing the brother in laws guns, got to give his good one a massive clean before I do top coat though.
