Right, Im starting the hunt for the setup I need to get the datsun 620 back on the road swapping out the J15

Engine: Either a L18 or L20b (Good working condition engines only not interested in a rebuild at this stage)
Gearbox: 5 speed to suit L18/L20b (Good working condition gearboxes only not interested in a rebuild at this stage) if you know specifics of the variation gearbox you have would help too
Other: If you know of anything Ill need for this ill be interested

Post or PM if you have anything Ill need, with a asking price. Im gathering funds for this asap.
Eyeing up Mint16's L18 if still available when I next head their way at this point.

Theres a L18 with 4 speed gearbox on trademe $400

Just did a search for L18 nothing showed up,

Theres a L series 4spd box for $400, but im not interested in a 4spd

I have an L16. But that's not a very big step up from what you have now.

Yup, already had you on my short list, I started putting aside cash but if someone doesnt beat me. Dont happen to have a gbox to go with it?

Yeah 4spd floorchange. Changes gears well, no noises, has some short of vibration on deceleration - spigot bush or gearbox mount??
