Thought I had better start a build thread for my ute...........even though stage one is almost complete.
Bought it from turners damaged, Motor didn't go, new head gasket was on upside down so didn't hold water, had a round port gasket on the A14 so was spewing fuel out between the head and manifold.
ended up chucking this motor away and replace it with a A15.
Drove it to Blenheim so the father in law could do panel work for me. (got it back about 3wks later)
Now 12 or so months later it is finally stripped for paint

Certainly did, go the $2.99 drop sheets from the warehouse, its kind of a browny silver colour, (chosen as I scored a litre of paint and some clear coat from my last job when I left so it saved me some money)
