Hi guys,

Does anyone know if there is a place in CHCH where I can go and get these rims made wider? I'm not sure if its possible but they are 15x7 and I wanna go 15x10.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers
Lui

take a picture of the side (so you can see the wdith of the wheel). Looks like they may be a 3 piece wheel, in which case you may be able to get wider shells made up.

I have a funny feeling that its trickier than I think it is. Here are a couple of pics.

Those are 3 piece wheels, but the two bands/shells have been welded together (as many of them are). It is possible to get them split (they cut the weld) and then get new outer shells made up. Wont be cheap though, from what others have said you will be looking at $1000 and upwards by the time its all done.

elite wheels down annex road can widen alloy wheels but from previous experience they dont like doing it to road cars etc so it maybe tricky to get them to do it

but ring and see what they say

it will be expensive though

Looking at the single bead of weld they might even be a 2 piece wheel, which I don't think anybody widens (in NZ at least).

Cheers guys,
I went to Elite a couple of weeks ago and they told me they can't do it. They don't have the equipment/machine to do flat deep dish.
I think you may be right Brock.
Looks like I'll have to go for steelies

Try pine engineering on fb or Bateman's on Wellington.
