With having an upgraded cam for my L28 motor I was thinking about getting an vernier camshaft sprocket. I didn't really look into it as I thought the cost over power gain really wouldn't be worth it, How ever I've have a few people ask me why I wouldn't. I can't see the point a spending heaps of cash on a Japanese made one as you normally set it once and leave it at that. I found this online and I have a spare camshaft sprocket so i'm going to "give it a go"

Yeah they aren't that hard to make, I've got a half finished one that I started doing in steel before I bought the Jun gear. Those laser cut ones on the 2nd page look nice, the hardest part of making one is making the slots as you really need a rotary table and a mill.

You can get really basic ones for the L series which basically just have a bunch of different holes drilled in them for the dowel pin, some of them have offset bushes as well to get more adjustment.

I'm looking into buying a Tepp Motorsports adjustable cam sprocket it's the same style as Kameari, made in Japan for Tepp Motorsports for around $160 us. I really hope I worth getting. When building my RB30DET I went to the effort of getting Rob at RaceFab in making a adjustable cam gear for the NVCS and the tuners couldn't get any thing out of it, But then they couldn't get the turbo spooling and then blew a bottom end bearing after having it on the dyno for hours on end.
