so meet the guys and ladies just down the road by the rakaia gorge and it was a windy as fuck so off we went, had to stop for bart to wee and to empty the weight out of the boot of gregs laurel as it was scrapping and sparking

was really fun at 100-140k on nice windy roads with fantastic views

meet up with the oamaru guys and headed off to the dam for a bbq lunch which was good to catch up with everyone and looks at some different cars

then headed off for an amazing drive up and around the dam, with all the leaves falling and the windy roads it was incredible beautiful and fun

i split ways at Kurow i think, and headed home, only had one old guy flip me the bird on the way home and he took a picture of the datsun haha

was home by 6.30pm!!!

cant wait for next year will have to stay the night i think

since i left at about 3pmish iam hoping greg can upload some more photos of the rest of the weekend so everyone can see that and thank anyone else for helping etc

Thanx for posting Jesse, this has to be one of the prettiest if not most enjoyable drives around. Gutted I couldn't make it. Hopefully next year Rod Stewart isn't on, shifting the date this was just one week too late.

Was an awesome weekend glad I could be apart of it! My first ever southern cruise but definitely not the last! The loooooowrel was awful to drive as we were getting some nasty vibrations potentially coming from the driveshaft or the half shafts.... also scraping its asss along the road didn't make for comfortable motoring but we made it down and back in relatively one piece. May look into selling it soon and get a cheap run about... but either way that rear end needs to be sorted out! Here's a few snaps I took
