Go to rightcar.govt.nz and put your registration in. It will tell you what your new rate will be from July 1st 2015.
The rate I posted is the new rate for me.

About $111 and some cents. It could be a couple of dollars more if done at rego office. Online is a little cheaper. It was about half of full rego for a new car. Per chance.......

I didn't think any of the new rates came out or into service until after the 1st,
Thats why on the LTSA website when you buy rego it states that they highly recommend only purchasing a minimum amount as the rates are changing and they suggest this so you don't over pay,

The "old" classic car rate was approx half of a stand car rego. Has been that way for a long long time as long as i can remember,
When i last did rego for the 160J i think it was a little higher than that for a year, But that was long time ago.

So i have read else where registration will be based more on what a cars safety rating is and hence why its possible that the classic cars (which have a safety rating of stuff all or less) will get hit with higher/increased registration.

Hey i could be well wrong on all of this
