Hey guys,

Time to test how good this datsun community is.

I hope someone from the auckland area can help me out.

I just brought a datsun 120y. And it turns out the engine has a blown head gasket and is using oil terribly even tho the seller said it was mint and just recently had 4k worth of work done on it.

Basicly this is my main driver for work and am stuffed without it.

Does anyone have an engine lieing around which they know is a good runner that they could possibly loan me for a short term while I get my engine rebuilt. Hopefully before the Taupo run.

So your aware I'm not a young guy who is going to thrash it and do 'mean skids'. Only drive to and from work. Damn I'll even service it.

Thanks kartboy it seems ALOT of datsun parts ect are in the south island.

Come on man. It's an A series. 12 hours running to running. Give it a crack with the take a photos every few minutes camera on. Would look great on your build thread.

We are a big datsun family.i wil help you out.i have a A14 eng which you can use.iam not sure the condition of it but it should be ok to use as a daily while you get your eng rebuild before taupo meet.
