anyone after a L14 out of a 140j? the odo is only at 93000ks (approx).
has a L20 sump and oil feed hose (i dunno what to call it) because i had to mix and match to fit the L20 in my 140j
i dont know much about it i have never had it running

I would also advertise this overseas if I were you man.
aparently the americans like to build all sorts of crazy l series engines out of random parts.....one of them using L14 rods, which are quite hard to find!

your odometer has prob been around the clock once, maybe even twice (our 140J has)

well i checked car jam and it hasnt ticked over yet, last wof was in 2001 and hasnt had one since and the state that i got it in says that it wasnt driven much (if at all) since then.
current odo is 93,903ks

maybe even mention it on ozdat.com. The L14's have some really long conrod in them. So they are the shit when it comes to building random displacement L series motors. I'm not sure exactly what they do, but longer conrods give reduced rod anglearity which makes more tourque.

Dan told me that the rods from these L14s are worth big bucks and he we have a gantleman from the across the ditch after them

yeah ive had 2 replys frm ozdat.com, one from tim above and another guy,
i will try get them out this weekend because they are more sought after than the complete engine..
would it be a good idea to list them on trademe?? i dont kno what they are worth

Dunno if I remembered to txt you or not, but the guy I knew who's mate might have been keen can't get them. (He's offshore too)

I wouldnt bother posting them on trademe.
I would post them straight on ebay....where people form Aus and USA can see them and buy them 8-)
