Details to follow, we are looking changing this event this year, possibly with a track day at Levels and something at the Waimate 50.

If I can do anything to help at my end let me know
I get on well with Levels raceway team and can help grease wheels there

note there is no event at levels raceway labour weekend on their calender, but they have limited extra days they can run due to their resource consent conditions as I understand...

has anyone contacted Karen or Howard as yet?

I was thinking alog the same lines as wouldn't this have to be organized now before someone else gets in? I think its a great idea and as keen as a bean but wont this have to be sorted ASAP???

Thanks Kitch If you have a relationship with them would be great if you could contact them and get us penciled in for Labour weekend, will try to confirm at next committee meeting.

just sent an email to secretary of SCCC.

Will advise what they come back with, I guess we would try and do saturday if possible, and then the sunday we could go to waimate (half hour drive from timaru) to the street racing, and watch some datsuns in action there

will find out if it is possible in the first instance, and then get an idea of costs, thinking we would need to maybe get a sponsor onboard to help make this event happen...

I have some other ideas for the weekend, but will see if we can sort the track day first

Awesome Kitch. Yeah that sounds like the idea. Do you have any connection with the Waimate organisation? I wonder if we could park up as a group like they use to down at SFOS in Dunedin.

yeah thought exactly that Vaughan, try and get a roped off carpark for us somewhere near the action for a park up, and yes I am mates with Kurt Aikman who is one of the main organisers of the Waimate 50 car club so can hit him up

yip early morning departure sounds great, afternoon track attack excellant idea.

Kitch, do keep us posted with regards to getting parking access. do you happen to know of any camp grounds that may offer cabins, it might be a good idea to try and organise a group booking, as it will likely be a weekend affair.
