Does anyone know of any businesses locally ( or offshore) that stock quality performance valve springs/retainers etc?
Cheers
Dave

It's my understanding that Kelford Camtech no longer sell the Aussie springs competiton springs, or performance springs or whatever they were called. Part number CB04A02, (Or some such) as they are a VERY short life part. And I think Rob (Username Volodkavich) who used to work there said the springs they stock now are possibley made by PAC?

Thanks Guys,
Morgan, I'll be interested to hear how you get on.
Just had a quick look on the Pit Road website and the springs don't look too bad at 14000yen. Stuart Wilkins in Australia also list competition springs although I have no idea how good they are.
Cleaning up a bit of a mess at the moment as I've had one break and ended up with the inlet valve stem poking through the inlet port! Thank God I was driving it quietly in town and not at 8000rpm down the main straight at Ruapuna- its down enough damage as it is.
So whatever goes back in has got to be good as I don't want a repeat of this exercise ever again.
Cheers
Dave

Compeition springs are the brand to avoid.
They're only good for one season, if you're lucky.
I've known two other people who have broken them.
But spare a thought for the guys with ray barton Hemi V8's. $3Kusd per set. And they last one season. The $1Kusd sets only last for three passes........

Yeah they are good, I don't really rate the Japanese aftermarket stuff.

Hi Rob,
Thanks for that. Re the aftermarket Jap springs- that's a big call given Tomei and Kameari have such good names. Have you had bad experiences with them or do you feel they are simply overpriced for what they are relative to the local equivalent?
Cheers
