How do you go about replacing the chrome plastic on a 1200 deluxe or coupe door card?

Find a model shop and ask for some baremetal foil or chrome foil. Modellers use it off finish realistic models of cars,

Oh really? Will go have a look

have made one out of aluminium and polished it for one door card but it took me a long time
