Picked up my 120y coupe a couple of months ago. Had no engine or gearbox
But has a reasonbly straight body and is not missing too much off the interior or exterior.
Things I have done to it since I have owned it
Lowered the car
Picked up modgies from taupo
got flywheel lightened and is ready to go in
got head allready to go on
borrowed an engine and gearbox
prepared 5speed box and is now ready to go in
I blew the borrowed engine up
then put my engine (a15) in and short shift 5 speed gearbox in
The car as it is now

Just an update:
Last week I blew the engie and diff up. this week my mechanic pulled out the engine and decided to pull the 4speed gearbox out aswell. He put my short shift 5 speed box in along with my spare A15. Also changed diff. The 5 speed has made a considerable difference.
Next week:
The exhaust will be getting repaired. I also have to find some heater hoses.
To do list:
Immediate future:
Get exhaust fixed
Get new heater hoses
Get smaller tyres
get camshaft ground
get front passanger tray
put hot head on
new engine bearings
later on:
Get panelbeated and painted
wheels galvanised or rechromed

replaced all the heater hoses today on my lunch break. cost me $7.50 for 3metres of hose from Eastern Truck and Marine. repco said if they got it in for me it would be $63.70 lol.
Booked my car in to get exhaust fixed for monday.
from the lowest point of chassis on my car it is actually 110mm with my 13inch rims and 185/70/13s on but im going to 185/60/13 which will drop it some more. My warrant guy is sweet as he said 100mm you can normally get away with with 10mm tolerance lower
