Does anybody know if the unit is the same as any other Datsun model eg 180B 4 door, or 260z etc? The SSS unit caters for a pressure gauge and warning light.

4 door 180b will only be a light. Only the SSS had the gauge

Surely 510SSS would be the same.
They are crap though, the factory ones leak oil, that's why they had a little rubber boot over the wires...

240Z only had a guage. I used one off an LD28 Which had the 2 terminals so i could run a light. Z ones only have a single bayonet terminal

280ZX Are the same. Proabably could use one off an R32 R33. Same Fitting and two pins. Yet to try it though

You could have a look through a tridon catalogue or their website for ones with the same thread plus the extras you need to run both?

I have used one of the tridon ones(single spade terminal) with my SSS gauge but it doesn't read accurately at all.... so yes it might be the right thread and have the right terminals but won't read accurately.

Thanks for that. No easy answer it would seem. I have supplied relavent details to Nissan NZ for them to research it from their end. Expect to be disappointed. Has anyone tried prying open and repairing a sender unit?
