"Red Coupe" recently found that you could download current registered car information (which I had always though would be great but had no idea it was available).

I downloaded this, and spent some hours playing with the data (HEAPS of typo's such as PS10 instead of P510) needed fixing e.t.c.
I have uploaded the spreadsheet of data (you can use filters to find out all sorts of info such as where the car is registered and color e.t.c.).

In summary, in the 2015-2016 year there were currently registered cars as follows:
NOTE - this is only for registered cars (dylan), and I believe includes cars with rego on hold.

Roadster (311) - 12
240Z/260Z (S30) - 233 - VERY interesting......there is a PS30 registered in NZ!!! (Z432....very rare car)
240Z/260Z (S31) - 21
Skyline (C10) - 2
Skyline (C110) - 20
Gloria (A30) - 8
Cedric/Gloria (230) - 51
Cedric/Gloria (330) - 38
Bluebird (312) - 12
Bluebird (410) - 15
Bluebird (411) - 35
Bluebird (510) - 251
Bluebird (610) - 139
140J/160J (710) - 71
Datsun 1000 (B10) - 6
Datsun 1200 (B110) - 444
Datsun 1200 ute (B120) - 7
Datsun 1200 ute (GB122) - 4

Another interesting fact......by region, there is 168 in Christchurch city, and 242 in Auckland
This doesn't include surrounding areas such as Selwyn and Waimakiriri (and whatever Auckland areas there are....I don't know it well).
But I found this surprising.

Very interesting, the number of S30s is kind of surprising. How about S130 280Zs?

I imagine a substantial amount of b110 registered vehicles are ute, gb122 is early 90s? Anything earlier might be wrongly registered....or revinned incorrect? Helps when they make em till 2004 in SA. (Bakkie included)
My one is a 1984 gb120 but has been revined 3+ times. As has my coupe....5x

An original z432 is worth moonbeams and above, if it comes with its original options....?

Can you check Models rather than chassis codes?

I know 2 of the 330 260C's ive owned were Datsun H330 on the rego ticket not 260C. So if you went off 1600, 260C, 120Y, Cedric etc does that turn up anything

There is some intersting data in those spreadsheets. I can identify a few of my own cars.

according to the data there are 89 240c/260c/Brougham etc still registered.
