Hey Guys,

I am hoping to get some help identifying the original paint colour/code for my 510 SSS. Does anyone know definitively what the mustardy yellow/brown colour was offered in NZ (it's japan built 72 SSS). https://imgur.com/gallery/5omaQ The closest thing I can find online looks like 920 - safari gold (920 is also called datsun mustard in this link (http://www.uniquecarsandparts.com.au/co ... n_1970.php).

Does anyone have knowledge of this colour?

It could also be #938, to my eyes it looks closer to #920 but Im not sure if that was a colour specific to the Z cars...

OK - so I am 90% sure it's 938. I have the original paint code sticker but it is illegible. The first number is definitely a 9 and the last 2 are VERY tough to make out but looking like 938. At the end of the day, Im pretty sure 920 is a Z colour and 938 makes the most sense from looking at the patches of my car that are original.

In saying this, I might end up going with 920 as the colour is a little warmer and less green that 938 which I prefer. For anyone interested, I plan to get a rattle can made up of all 3 of these colours and compare to the original paint. With modern paint I doubt any of them will be a perfect match so I might just end up picking the colour I like the most.

I have the colour chart somewhere just cannot find it atm.
