Waipara Trail Ride

Post by Phatsun »

Anyone keen on riding the waipara valley on Sunday the 22nd on November.

Start from the leithfield pub / Kowhai River, ride up to the mouth, along Amberley beach, then up the waipara valley to the waipara pub.

Lots of river crossings , nice scenery.

Its about 70km round trip.. We always go tanked up to the top and no1 has ever run outta gas.
There are actually 2 petrol stations on the way too (Amberley 3 minutes riding on the road or Waipara ) Have only ever been there for puncture repairs though.

Awesome bike dude , You will make it easy (If not my mate on his YZ125 is in big trouble! lol)

We will probably only be riding up to the horseshoe & Back (Where it says 'waipara river' on the map with all the squigly bits) and we can do this without hitting reserve!

Bikes so Far....

Clay (CR250)
Al (YZ125)
Dave (CRF250x)
Colin (XR200)

Maybe's....

Peter? (KXF450)
Andy? (Fung chen %&$^#@ whateverthefukitis 145cc)
Neil? (KTM360)
Steve? (XT250r)
Craig? (DT250)

Yeah I have done a ride with a couple of guys from work, one had a trip metre in miles and we did about 35 mile and I was well on reserve, also did a trail ride up the back of sheffield a couple of months back, about 40km per lap and only just made a lap, could only just see the fuel in tank at end. might need to get it looked at as it does seem to go through more than it should
