update:
got the car home from the Datsun Gargage yesterday
The repair cert man has been in to see it twice now, but now says he wants to see it painted before he gives me the OK.
Ah well.
So Im gonna get to painting all the interior repairs myself.....then it'll go back to Datsun Garage to get the exterior bodywork painted
