Hi Guys,
Im in need of a new gearbox, its the only thing i need to get the 2door back on the road.
I would love a 5 speed to go in it but because its hydraulic clutch i need to keep my bell housing to go on the new one. I dont know if it will go onto a 5 speed tho, if anyone knows please let me know.
Otherwise im happy just to go with another 4 speed if anyone has one for sale?

Re: 1200 gearbox
Your belhousinf will fit a 5 spd if it's a 60 series 4 speed you have. Although it maybe possible to convert a cable 5spd to a hydrualic. (I'm pretty sure the actual castings were the same)
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............

Re: 1200 gearbox
Yea i thought about that. I think all id have to do if i got a cable 5speed is to mount the slave cylinder to it which shouldn't be too difficult. How do i figure out what series i have? I wouldnt have a clue where im even gonna find a 5speed tho. Just wanna get my car going lol i miss it!!
Re: 1200 gearbox
I have a 4 speed tucked around the back of the garage ,its yours for free if you want to pick it up. came out of a running car, and was noise free from memory
