A series gearbox

Post by Hey-mish »

hey there i have a 120y currently have a 5speed in it but the syncro is a bit stuffed in it, will crunch going into 1st, 2nd,and 3rd.. which sucks when you wanna drop down a gear for corners, 4th and 5th are fine
i know 5speeds are hard to come by so i am happy to settle for a 4, will need a xmember aswell i have a modified one to fit my 5speed,
if you know anyone whos got one laying around im keen, happy to ship dwn frm the nrth 2 (shouldnt b 2 much... i hope)
cheers

What are you going to do with your 5spd once it is out?? Is it worth getting the syncros replaced??

Depending on how worn the synchro ring journal is on the gear thats become crunchy, you may be able to swap say the synchro ring off 5th gear onto it.

unsure of the 5speed fate, would like to fix it but who knows, it cost me an arm and a leg to get the 5speed for the 140j rebuilt
