Re: i need a l18 or l20b.
I have never loctite'd them after the a**hole of a job we had on a CA with snapping them while trying to remove them after being loctited in. Although Ive never touched the clutch/flywheel since I bought the motor so it is probably a loose flywheel. Ive never ever heard of an Lseries spinning bearings or anything, even the crank and bearings out of my 200,000km+ L18 was still like brand new

I do with the a series motors. The pcd is too small, and the bolts don't have a snug fitting plain with dowels the flywheel onto them.mint16 wrote:do you folks loctite your flywheel bolts??

matt, some people may go overboard with the loctite, and youve witnessed the result of that, and i dont envy what you had to deal with.
only a small line down the threads is enough to secure the bolts.
