I finally got a Datsun, even if its a hilarious failure, and barely deserves the Badge on the back...

Seeing as Im selling the Cortina to Fund the Escort, I had to get a crack-up daily built before 1983.
Then I remembered my old flatmate from CHCH had this...half an hour later, it was mine!






I remember sitting in it ages ago, and it was pretty mint.
Its had a new Headgasket, radiator, W.O.F.

Plans are to slam it out, remove mudflaps, add pimp mirrors, white-walls, Tartain rug upon rear seat, and a set of beaded seat covers up front. Throw in some minor doof-doof so I dont have to listen to the (E13?) front-tugging along.

I wonder what chrome bumpers i can mash onto it?

Just paint the bumpers with an aresol of VHT super chrome. It's hori as, but if you take your time and do a good job the results can be suprisingly good.
Then you wanna find an E15et for it!

I cant seem to break the change-over cars..First the Laurel, now this. At LEAST it has a Datsun badge, thats the only consolation at this stage...

That said, although it's a fail wheel drive turd born just after cool cars stopped being made, it'l be hell reliable, use fuck all gas, and wont bat an eyelid at coming up to CHCH for datsun club events! (Hell, I'd be prepared to wager that it'd be way nicer than my 1200 to ride in ) So now you have no excuses not to trek north and cruise/drink piss with your boe's from canterbury!
