dont hate me for this, but could be a chance for something different.
Southern Car Culture are holding our first fundraising cruise on Sunday the 24th January. We are meeting at 11.00am at the Target Car park ($2 shop Warehouse) on Blenheim Road. We will be leaving at 11.30am to the Ashley River where we will have a saussie sizzle to help with the fundraising and a get together.
This is a Family thing so there will be kids around so NO DICK HEADS! YA BULLSHIT WONT BE TOLERATED!
The route we will be taking will be up Blenheim Road to Main South Road down Weedons Ross Road to the Old West Coast Road following that to Chattertons Road then up Mcleans Island Road to Johns Road then up Main North Road to Ashley River.
The police will be informed about the cruise and what routes we will be taking.
Should be a great cruise and can wait to see all the different types of cars that will be coming!
Hope you can make it!

this is what has been written up on there forum

Finally another piece of the puzzle is completed.
We have a “work in progress” web site so we can spread the word of who we are, what we are doing and you can be a part of it.
We are a group of car enthusiasts called Legal Diesels Incorporated. Our soul purpose is to build a venue to cater for the drift and burnout car culture in Christchurch.
We have been working with City Councils, Car Clubs and Police to make this idea come to fruition.
We need $370 grand to build this pad and fencing etc. More info will be posted on the about page.
Its plan is to be 120m x 70m give or take. We also have permission to build on a motor sport site so we wont need council consents to start work.
So this site is for our club that we will try fundraise and let members know about our fundraising cruises we will be holding.
Register with us to receive updates.
We will also be asking members to join our club after the pad is built to bring down individuals charges of getting on the pad.
So if you have any further questions or would like to sponsor us please contact us.
Thanks, the Legal Diesels Team
The funding we need for this project goes to…
* Concrete and placement including bollards and a nib wall $340,000 + GST.
* Fences including 4 gates for entering and exiting and barbed wire at the top of fences $27,000 + GST.
* Dynabolts and number 8 wire for the tyres $1500.
These are the basic expenses. We will also be buying security cameras and lighting when we can.
Obviously it’s a lot more complicated than this but this is the major costs that are involved.
The pad size will be 120 x 65 meters approx.
The inside of the nib wall will be surrounded by tyres tied together and bolted to the concrete. It will be about 4-5 high and will help protect the crowd and drivers cars.
We have signage available on the inside of the pad for companies that would like to sponsor us.
