datsun 1600 regulator. ticking non stop

just sliped a l18 into my 1600 and now the regulator goes non stop. i dont see how it cauld be any diffrent to the 1600 motor. alll wires are hooked up properly so wondering how i can stop it or if ive done something wrong in hooking it up. also whats the reason it doing it. any help would be mint cheers

i brought that l18 off ya will have it in town this weekend but will recheck the wiring

mine started doin that once in the 180b... just happened randomly, got a new one and it was all good
