grrr webers aint fitting this is ass

can anyone tell me if im going mad or not, bought manifold to fit dual weber sidedraughts, checked it out and could not believe it when to my luck they wont fit, studs fit perfect but choke plate at rear and throttle shafts wont, bit more than a fly shit out.. :fart:

well, for a start, they're meant to have a spacer/isolator thats maybe about 8mm or so thick, that goes between the manifold and the carbs......but im not sure that that would solve your issues

yea spot on dan u shud never mount them ridged, but it doesnt look like the right manifold anyway as the carbs are very close maybe the manifolds for 38's not 40's, i have in the past cut the throttle shafts and fitted thinner washers behind the nuts to allow for clearance... that maybe an option. jus file or grind the piece in between to allow clearance for the throttle arm thingy.

yeah knew there was o-ring seal but not about spacer, check measurements again
