I think its funny, you could buy a pretty decent car for that -GTir, Silvia, Evo etc.. or a pretty below average looking Datsun with rust holes the size of a fist, putting out around 100 Hp that will definitely NOT help you get laid.

The gold 610 went to gisborne last year. Seems people up north have spare cash during certain seasons
I know the owner and he always wanted it during the many years on trademe. He even had the rego changed to what the car is. (he had all the sales brochures with what numbers went with the correct car) still. its not the prettiest compared to the coupe.
High prices save these old cars. Some people ask a bit much but I guess if no one buys them they are kept safe some where and not left to rust away.
