I'd be suprsed if the south canty car club don't dedicate an event to him. The PBDRC have a memorial meeting for a bloke who died.
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............

This was a real tragedy, The Timaru/NZ motorsport community and the Datsun fraternity of this country have lost a real legend.
Daves nephew is one of my best mates, and Dave was always helping him (& anyone else) out over the years with his/their race cars. And in fact back in the day I brought brought my first real car (first car with a WOFat least!) years ago off Dave (all be it off his son Richard) the mighty DX.
As I understand it, his death was medically related, and not the result of an accident.
He died doing what he loves - and when my number is up I hope I am doing the same
