Agree with Andy. If you are doing a conversion might as well do it properly.

thought because of ease of fitting and availability of parts i might just make the 2nd one SR20DET
SR conversion into a 910 is meant to be very easy and with the right assortment of parts one can be fitted with the most major modification being slightly elongating the holes on the gearbox crossmember.
Here is an example of an s13, SR20DET in a 910 engine bay;
I know RB's and VG30's just fit with no firewall modification.

(though if i remember correctly he did take a hammer to one part of the firewall for the vg30 but that was just for exhaust clearance)
Im unsure still though about engine choice (for my daily coupe)
I think i would prefer a 4 banger
I like the sound of an FJ20..
If i did put an SR20 in i would probably eventually pull it out to put an l engine back in, in the distant future when i no longer need the coupe as a daily. (Because of L series love and because original is nice)
Should i just spend the bit more money and build a L engine to start with?
SR20DE seems to still be the front runner as i like the fact it rev's nice and high standard, fuel economy, fuel injection, reliability, power, smoothness etc etc etc.

You should be able to buy a sweet used SR20de , cheaper than what you can build a remotely decent L series for. PLus the newer engine will be smoother and more reliable.

agreed with bart. sr would be best and most cost effective option for daily. looking at that VG30, the plumbing looks worse than the 300zx it came from

single cam Vg's better imo than the quad version. Fairly ugly motor. Quite economic have a deeper and fairly freeflow rev
