Datsun 1600 wanted in CHCH for filming! (u culd be famous!)

Hi there,


I hope this email finds you well.

I am the Production Manager for the prime time show for TV1 - The Missing.
The programme takes a look into the stories of people who have disappeared
and uses new science and technology to re-open these cases.

One episode is going to focus on John Buxton who disappeared in 1983 from
Christchurch. An element of each episode is reconstructions of things that
have happened in the persons life.

John Buxton owned a Datsun 1600 and we are hoping to find one in and around
the Canterbury / Christchurch area to use for a a few hours for
reconstructions. We are hoping to get a car that is as similar as possible -
the same model and shape. Please see attached picture.

I am wondering if you have anyone in the Christchurch area with a vehicle
like this. I am aware you are a Auckland club but I am not having much luck
with people in Christchurch. We would be willing to compensate for the use
of the vehicle with petrol vouchers and the owner would need to be happy for
an actor to drive the vehicle. We are more than happy to insure the vehicle
for the day of filming for use by a third party person if this will make
them feel more comfortable with the vehicle being used.

We are looking to film in the Christchurch area between the 22nd and 28th
April and would need the car for a few hours on one of these days.

mmm dribble dribble.

When my Sunny was used to record sound only for approx 1hr for "Under the Mountain" (anyone seen the movie? Its my car making the noise coming from the 120Y

I was paid about $100.00 + free movie tickets from memory.
Filming has to be worth more but then again the movie probably had a bigger budget.
