Go Brocky!
It's always good to have a deadline to work to. Especially when it's not too close.

Well I better say 'im in'! Not too sure yet what I'll be coming in.... either an HR30 with an RB20DET (probably wont be finished by then), or an HR30 boat with an L20ET or Brock's 180B Will be an awesome cruise though regardless of what im driving!

this weekend Greg (Acustx) and I are doing a reccy in taupo for the cruise, so should have a more thorough and confirmed schedule for labour weekend.
btw, please voice your thoughts towards planning any part of the cruise, so we can make it enjoyable for all!!!

Well the weather gos turned out a great day for Brendan and I to hit Lake Taupo for a bit of a recce for the cruise weekend.
After making a lap pf the lake and checking out all the possible places to stop/photo/fuel/food etc in Brendans 1200 ute we ended up back in Taupo central in the mecca of the hamburger McDonalds to chat and sort out how we thought the weekend could run.
Here is a rough run down of the approximate time-table for labour weekend (please remember this may be changed with your input).
SATURDAY 25th
7.00am - 2.30pm – Datsun cruise members arriving in Taupo may wish to meet up.
2.30 – 4.30pm – Go kart racing for those who would like to attend.
4.30 – 6.00pm – Each to their own to prepare for dinner.
6.00pm – Dinner
SUNDAY 26th
10.00am – Meet down at the lakefront.
10.30am – Leave the lakefront on the cruise.
11.00 – 11.30am – Regroup at rest area along lakefront, take some photos of cars etc.
11.50 – 12.15pm – Regroup at Turangi, grab some lunch from bakery & head out to
Tokaanu to eat lunch & relax, take photos, chat, etc.
12.20 – 1.30pm – Lunch.
2.00 – 2.10pm – Regroup @ Kuratau Junction.
2.25 – 2.45pm – Regroup @ road side rest area, photos, etc.
3.10 – 3.15pm – Regroup @ Kinlock turnoff.
3.30 – 4.00pm – Kinlock waterfront photos etc.
4.30pm – Meet @ Debrett’s for a swim/soak.
6.00 – 8.00pm – Dinner (each to their own)
8.00pm – Late – Drinks and general chat at designated location (i.e. motel room).
MONDAY 27th
Meet up for breakfast & prize giving before heading off on your ways home.
Brendan & I welcome all and any creative criticism on the time table, and would also like to know confirmed numbers of who is coming and when they will be arriving in Taupo so that we can start booking some of the events.
If you have any comments that you believe are unable to be posted publicly please PM Brendan or Myself.
