All re assembled and put back together

the external waste gate looks really really tidy in there, no pics yet because i have been so busy making things happen !

Only thing left to do is make the wastegate screamer pipe

( the ehxuast shop will do the last tiny bit where it plumbs back into the main exhaust to make it legal )

edit > pics now attached

It looks like a factory fit option its so tidy hidden away in there :D

and once i finish the Screamer pipe tomorow I am all done for Akaroa 8-)

Yeah it's getting an intercooler pretty soon

but of course with the additional cost of the external wastegate and having the manifold welded that pretty much chewed up all my intercooler money

I have to many half finished projects
LSD = half done
4 pot brake upgrade = half done
camber mod for subframe = half done
equal length headers = half done

My main goal here is the WOF mostly for Akaroa and because in the 4 years i have owned this car I never really got to just hop in and go for a nice drive.

I just want my car, that is all really

so I got bored and made the screamer pipe already, only problem is i have run out of materials.

If anybody has some 1.5" straight exhaust tube even bits at short as 10cm please let me know ASAP

and the really good news is

1) it runs
2) makes no weird or bad noises
3)waste gate seems to open and close as it should
3) no leaks or anything

tomorows jobs are

1) Set up Exhaust gas temperature monitoring on the data logger
2) burgle the boost gauge from my Diesel Hilux to use as an exhaust pressure gauge
3) have a go at fidly laptop ECU programming stuff to see if i can make it idle

Failing that I'm just going to turn up the throttle stop screw but i CBF cos its so much effort to take off the throttle body when i can theoretically do it from the laptop ..

Thanks for all the kind words and support guys, make me proud to own a old Datun/Nissan
