Put some fire tape around the exhaust to stop the rattling of the handbrake cable joiner from driving me insane, and it worked a treat
Also cut the excess thread off the clutch M/C and now the clutch seems all good so that is also a win. The car is now all ready for Akaroa. I am so fricken excited! :D
That 180B is looking seriously good.

Nice stance, nice looks. And it should take on cornering much better.

Cheers.

I'm not too sure, it might just look like it has +ve camber since the rear has quite a bit of -ve in contrast. The front has always looked like that so I've never worried about it too much. In saying that, I still wouldn't mind banging some camber tops in to dial in a little -ve camber on the front.

I drove to work in the B today. So stoked to see it sitting in the carpark out there right now :D
Thanks everyone for your support/help/advice getting to this stage. :tits:

its hard to tell without the right picture angle anyway haha i was just making a guess but i see what you mean the contrast from -ve rears to neutral fronts. camber ajusters would be orsome! think you need cert though...? :?

I think it might just be my poor camera operating skills  I'm not too worried about the front camber if it drives alright. For the time being anyway. Just looking forward to putting heaps of kms on it 8-)

The late model 180b's had positive camber from the factory unfortunately (1 degree or something), can't remember the exact reason.

The early model 610's had offset strut tops to counter it, so if you can find a set of those that will sort it out on the cheap, otherwise extended control arms.

Either way, your car looks great.

back in '99 when a mate of mine owned lewis' 610 SSS coupe I used to think it had a tendancy to understeer. I had a yarn to Sam (FJ20_180B) about them one time, and he said that his was the same untill he fitted adjustable camber tops. Then it sharpened up the handling considerably.

I meant to say actually Mike that after you gave the B a quick pre cruise wash that it was looking very sharp indeed! :burnout:
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............
